О вузе

Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute was initially established in August,1958 with the name of Suzhou Art & Design School. It’s history could date back to Suzhou School of Art(1922) and Suzhou College of Art(1932) set up by Yan Wenliang, a renowned oil painter and art educator in China. In August, 1999, Suzhou Art & Design School was merged with Suzhou Light Industrial Vocational University into Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute which is the first higher art & design education institute approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education of China. Located in the south district of the Suzhou International Education Park, the institute is designed to have a total building area of 200,000 square meters with 561 mu campus area. The institute currently offers six departments with eighteen specialties in fifty-four different directions of emphasis, including Decoration Art Department, Environmental Art Department, Visual Communication Department, Fashion Department, Digital Innovation Department and Industrial Design Department , and owns a well-structured team of teaching faculty around 430 in number, among which, 19 are professors and advanced researchers, 94 are associate professors and higher art & design masters.…
