О вузе

Southwest University of Political Science and Law (SWUPL) is located in Chongqing, a famous historical and cultural city and the only municipality in the central and western regions. It is the earliest institution of higher politics and law established in New China. As a university jointly built by Ministry of Education and Chongqing Government, SWUPL is the first batch of legal talents training bases with the qualification of cultivating international students under Chinese government scholarships. With 70 years of hard work, SWUPL has formed a multi-disciplinary development mode, focusing on law, coordinated with philosophy, economics, literature, management, engineering, etc. And it has formed a multi-level education pattern from undergraduate to postgraduate, from domestic education to international education. Over the past 70 years, it has trained more than 300,000 talents at all levels and various types for the country. It is the country’s largest institution of law-based personnel. More than 70 alumni hold leadership positions above the provincial and ministerial level. There are more than 50 political graduates who have served or currently serve as chief justices, first-level or second-level justices, and chief prosecutors.
