Breif Introduction Sponsored by Kunming Municipal People’s Government and directed by Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, Kunming Railway Vocational and Technical College is the only public higher vocational college which specialized in training technicians who skill in railway and urban rail transportation industry in Yunnan Province. College started with the name of Kunming Railway Machinery School, since 1958. In the past 60 years, a large number of skilled personnel have been sent to railway and urban rail transit system in Yunnan and the rest of China. The college focuses on the running of rail transit, and its specialties are closely related to the needs of talents of enterprises in the railway and urban rail transit industry, covering the main types of train operation, urban rail transit and main posts of railway equipment manufacturing in the railway "transportation, machinery, engineering, electricity and vehicle", and has established five professional groups of "railway rolling stock, railway electrical engineering, railway transportation, electro-mechanical engineering, and telecommunication engineering" composed of 19 specialties.
